Starkey Morgan, Jr., cellist, began studying the cello at the age of nine, which launched a career marked with numerous scholarships and awards. Starkey received his Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree from the University of North Texas at Denton. He performed as a contract member of the Memphis Symphony for seven years and was principal cellist in productions such as West Side Story, Peter PanTitanic, and the Sound of Music for the Orpheum Theater. He has performed in master classes with Fritz Magg, Janos Starker, Yo Yo Ma, Kronos String Quarter, Linden Quartet, and Cavani Quartet. Starkey presently lives in Jackson, Ms, and continues to play in musical groups in the area and around the state.

Martha Morgan, flutist, is a Greenville native who received her BSE from Delta State University. She is a retired schoolteacher, having taught all levels, K-12, eventually receiving certification in the area of Secondary English and Theater. She has served as principal of the Greenville Symphony, co-principal of the Starkville Symphony Orchestra, first flute, Mississippi Baptist orchestra, section leader, Mississippi Community Symphonic Band, and second flute/piccolo, Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, Jackson, Mississippi.
